We singles sometime find ourselves overwhelmed by life’s responsibilities, difficult choices, or what seems like no choice at all. We may feel confused by our own feeling about singleness and by misconceptions about what it is to be single. Many of the issues, questions and needs of today’s singles will be addressed at this conference. We will celebrate both our joys and sorrows, knowing that they spring from the heart; knowing that when we are feeling one emotion, the other is only a change of season away and knowing that we can continue life’s journey by "Embracing Growth".

 

Our mission for this conference is to provide:

  • An open door for singles and their families
  • A sense of belonging and well-being
  • A growth opportunity for those reaching out
  • A healing place for those who need it
  • An opportunity to bask in and share God’s unconditional love with others

 

We invite you to join us for three days of fun, fellowship and information for today’s singles. Workshops are available for singles of all ages and all walks of life. We are an interdenominational group.

 

Keynote speakers: Dr. Charles Simmons, Senior Pastor, Broadmoor United Methodist Church

Michael Cascio, BCSW & Frequent local TV guest psychotherapist

Entertainment: Lyle Henderson, Host of Gospel Brunch @ New Orleans House of Blues

A Variety Show by our own talented singles

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, April 17: 7:00 PM till 10:30 PM

Saturday, April 18: 8:00 AM till 2:30 PM (Dance @ 9:00 PM)

Sunday, April 19: 9:45 AM till Noon

Registration brochures are now available. The cost is $25.00 if registered before March 31 and $35.00 after April 1. These fees include all Sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A jambalaya lunch is included Saturday. The cost also includes all Children’s Programs. T-shirts are available for an additional cost of $10.00. They must be ordered at time of registration.

There will also be a dance at our gym Saturday evening with music provided by John Fred & The Playboys. The cost for the dance is $6.00.
