Loggin On
Log on to the mail system with your mail account and password. Ensure that the account name and password are the correct case.

Checking Your Mail
Press the Get Mail button to retrieve your mail. After all your mail has been downloaded each message will be displayed as a one line entry in the top list box. Click on the message you want to read and it will be displayed in the lower list box. If you wish to delete this message press the Delete button.

Once you have finished you should press the Log Off button or close the browser.

Sending Mail
You can send mail by pressing the New button, to reply to a selected message press the Reply button or to forward the selected message press the Forward button; this will present the send mail screen.

Enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to e-mail, if there are multiple recipients separate the e-mail addresses with a comma (,). Enter the subject and the body of the message. If you have a profile which contains a signature this will already be loaded into the body of the message.

If you wish to retain a copy of the mail message leave the Mail copy to self checked.

Send the message by pressing the Send button.

Address Lists
If you have defined an address list it can be accessed by pressing the Address List button. This will present the address list screen, simply click once on each address line you want to add to your message and the e-mail address will be added to the To field.

Address List Creation and Maintenance
To create an address list for the first time or to maintain an existing address list press the Maintain button on the address list screen. This will pressent a text box containing all your addresses or if you do not have an address list some examples of the format of addresses.

Add or edit lines in the address list according to the following rules.

  • Add only one address per line and press Return at the end of each line even if it is a long line that will wrap.
  • Enter any details such as the presons name, company etc followed by a semi-colon (;) and then the e-mail address.
  • If you only wish to enter an e-mail address prefix it with a semi-colon.
For Exmple:
Homer Simpson - Springfield Power Station;homers@nuke.com
;fred@dot.com.au

Once you have made all the changes press the Update Address List button to save your changes.

Profile Creation and Maintenance
Profiles retain information about you to allow you to presonalize your e-mail. A profile contains the following information.
  • Name - Your hame eg. Homer Simpson.
  • E-mail - The e-mail address you want your e-mail to be replied to. This need only be set if you use an alternate e-mail address to the one you log on with. Note: Any failed messages will also be sent to this address.
  • Signature - This is the personal details appended at the botton of the e-mail message.
To create or maintain your profile press the Maintain Profile button on the send mail screen. This will present the profile maintenance screen which allows you to add your details. All three fields are optional, if you wish to remove a field highlight the text and press Delete on the keyboard.

Enter only a valid e-mail address in the E-Mail field.

Press Enter at the end of each of your signature lines do not simply wrap long lines.

Once you have finshed press the Update Profile button to save your changes. You must exit the send mail screen back to the main screen before your changes are effective.
